MACULAR DEGENERATION VIDEO

Definition: When light enters through the eyeball it focuses on a sensitive spot at the back of the eye called the macula. Responding, the macula sends electrical impulses along the optic nerve to the brain and we see. But as it ages, the macula often develops tiny waste-deposits, or drusen. As a result central vision blurs and may darken.
